  1. Honestly it’s a toss up, Love the fountain pen for letters (providing there is good paper) but for everyday haul it around with me.. A good old bic clic (Field Notes) they are cheap(ish) have a nice clip and just work. Also don’t have to worry about it growing legs at work.

  2. I love fountain pens because they make me take care and a little bit of extra time when writing, and I usually write nicer then. But other then that, it’s gotta be pencils. For drawing! 😀

  3. Fountain pens. There’s a different one for every different type of writing: letters, notes, calligraphy, signatures, drawing. Only one outdated exception: carbon paper.

  4. I am starting to get into fountain pens more, but gel pens have been my favourite for the longest time. Maybe in a year or two fountain pens will be my new favourite.

  5. Like most folks here I lohove fountain pens but use a gel for day-to-day (sometimes my Field Notes ball point). Also, my sister got me a gel pen in Bangladesh that writes so well I think up stuff to write just as an excuse to use it.

  6. That was a hard poll to answer! I love all of them (although I’d trade out fountain pen for dip pen in a heartbeat.) So I answered with the pen I’ve used the most today: the fiber/felt tip. Love my Le Pens!

  7. Fountain pens make me blush, I love them so. Yet I keep a couple of LePens and Sharpie Pens in my purse for when I’m on the go.

  8. Mechanical pencil, closely followed by fountain pen. But what I probably use most and enjoy least is ‘keyboard’.

  9. i’m a pencil fan. but i did just order my first fountain pen (i’ve never used one before and this blog convinced me to try one)

  10. I love fountain pens above all, but I also love art pens, gel pens, glitter pens, brush pens. Everything but ball point. However, Jetpens carries the Uni-ball Jetstream F series multi pen that is the sweetest BP ever, my one exception. It always gets admiring comments when I lend it to someone and I have to be sure to get it back. Hope to win so I can buy more pens!!

  11. I love both gel pens and ballpoints, personally. I love the Hi-Tec-C pens (I have the Coleto multipen) for journal writing, but for everything else I use ballpoints.

  12. Love fountain pens, but mostly use gel pens – I’m a lefty and need the faster-drying ink! When I have the time to write slowly, fountain pens win.
