Black and White and ‘Stache All Over

Black and White Assortment

Day Six and I’ve still got more stuff to give away! Today’s batch includes an array of black and white goodies including a pocket sized Moleskine Sketchbook (heavier weight paper), a Whitelines notebook (A5 with one or two pages with pen testing in the back), a Muji notebook, a ‘stache notebook and some pens and pencils.

Some items may have been used for writing tests and review but are practically new with one or two pages marked in the back for testing purposes. More items may be added later.

To enter, just leave a comment and tell me your OTHER favorite sites for pens, pencils, office supplies or workspace inspiration.

FINE PRINT: All entries must be submitted by 10pm CST on Sunday, June 23, 2013. All entries must be submitted at wellappointeddesk.com, not Twitter, Tumblr or Facebook, okay? Winner will be announced on Monday. Winner will be selected by random number generator from entries that played by the rules (see above). ONE entry per person, please. Please include your email address in the comment form (not in your comment) so that I can contact you if you win. I will not save email addresses or sell them to anyone — pinky swear. Shipping via USPS first class is covered. Additional shipping options or insurance will have to be paid by the winner. We are generous but we’re not made of money.

(Shoutout to JetPens and all the other nice folks who’ve given me samples to review over the years)

  1. I’m a big fan of penaddict, pencup, okami-whatever, economypens, pencil revolution, and fountainpennetwork

  2. My favorite pencil site is Pencils.com
It’s the only place I buy my Palomino Blackwings! After that I read the blog Pencilrevolution.com all the time.

  3. Gracious, it’s a big list! But some faves are Bleistift, Pen Addict, Clicky Post, Gourmet Pens, Writing by Hand, Recording Thoughts, Economy Pens, Pencil Talk, Contrapuntalism…. 🙂

  4. I’d probably have to say The Fountain Pen Network. Although I’m coming across more all the time, so it’s not an easy question!

  5. I love No Pen Intended and Rants of the Archer, and a whole lot of other sites that I can’t remember right now because I’m using my phone & don’t have links.

  6. I like penaddict, paper crave, and receiving notifications of new jet pen arrivals! That’s always a good day.

  7. I have a love/hate relationship with Fountain Pen Network. Love the info, the people and pens but hate the amount of time that I waste on the site.

  8. I enjoy reading and discovering new products on inknouveau.com, rhodiadrive.com, archer-rantings.blogspot.com, edjelley.com, gourmetpens.com, biffybeans.com, and fountainpennetwork.com

  9. The other websites I check every day are Gourmet Pens, Pen Addict, No Pen Intended and Writing by Hand.

  10. My life as a Verb-
    JustDaveyB-
    Inkophile-
    Gormet Pens-
    Pentulant-
    The Five Cat PENagerie-
    The Missive Maven-
    Lady Dandelion-
    Jetpens-
    The Goulet Pen Company-
and never omit The Well-Appointed Desk
—there are many others I fear I am omitting but these immediately pop to mind

  11. Some of my favourites are Gourmet Pens, Paper Lovestory, From the Pen Cup, Pencil Talk, and many more that I’m forgetting right now… And of course your site!

  12. Storage Geek on tumblr has amazing DIY projects for my creative workspace – I look to them for inspiration.

  13. I subscribe to a lot of blogs. I think I started with The Pen Addict, but No Pen Intended is definitely very interesting to read.

  14. I love to visit all the sites listed above. Too long a list to repeat. Hope I win one of these giveaways. I’m starting a new drawing challenge: 75 days of drawing every day, so I need a new notebook. The Moleskine would work perfectly.

  15. I browse the usual suspects: penaddict, gourmetpens, fpgeeks, fpn, etc. One newer site I enjoy is edjelley, great pictures and reviews.

  16. Pinterest board, JetPens, and Paper Lovestory are all great. I also get major inspiration every time I fall into a Korean stationery k-hole on eBay.

  17. I like Gourmet Pens, Jet Pens, “East, West, Everywhere…”, Ink Nouveau, Pen Addict, FPgeeks, Ed Jelley, and Goulet Pens for all things pens, stationery, (or cat related).

  18. I have a whole lot of stationery-related websites on my Bloglovin feed. My favourites are The Well-Appointed Desk (obviously), Paper Lovestory, Philofaxy, Pencil Revolution, Ed Jelley, Gourmet Pens:)

  19. Inkophile, The Pen Addict, JetPens, Gourmet Pens, Jenny’s Sketchbook, Whatever, Writers Bloc, Leigh Reyes: My Life As A Verb, Lady Dandelion, Writing Through Life, and Instagram =)

  20. OOH! OOOH!!!! Pick me! Aside from JetPens and Goulet, NO PEN INTENDED is a terrific site… LEXIKALIKER (even though I can’t read German!) GOOD PENS, LUNG SKETCHING SCROLLS (is there ANYONE who knows more about clutch pencils?!?!… I think NOT!!!), LEIGH REYES (the First Lady of the pen world!) and the mysteriously missing POCKET BLONDE…. as well as WENTSKETCHING…(is it bad taste to plug my own little spot of the internet?… yes, yes it is….)
    TOM, NYC

  21. Tumblr showed me some pens I didn’t even know about and i like looking on acherryontop or ebay for buying pens.

  22. There are many site. I started with FPgeeks which lead to edjelley then I found rhodiadrive and quovadisblog which naturally fell into penaddict and the whole pen and paper world exploded when I found your site. Plus I found the pencil world at pensandpemcilsandpaper.blogspot.ca. I love following the recommended blogs.
Thanks for the fabulous week of giveaways.

  23. Gotta love Peninkcillin and edjelley. Definitely can’t forget Gourmetpens. And The Pen Addict naturally!

  24. I love seeing people’s Pinterest pins of their office spaces and supplies. I gather much inspiration from there. Goulet Pens, Gourmet Pens, inkophile, and Jet pens are other great sources. Even visiting Urban Outfitters just to see their quirky things is fun!

  25. I just discovered the Pencil Revolution and despite being pretty loyal to pens, am now inspired to find some good pencils. Perhaps my entire problem has just been that I’m lacking the good ones.

  26. I follow so many sites about stationery. I think I follow all of them. It’s dangerous. So many things I want to get my hands on… So many. 🙂

  27. Sites outside of The Well-Appointed Desk? Hmm. My RSS feed and my bookmarks manager seem to suffer from Chronic S.O.S. (Stationery Overload Syndrome). Here are some of the names, in no particular order: The Fountain Pen Network, D*I*Y Planner, No Pen Intended, Notebook Stories, Scription, Sharing Our Notebooks, Spiritual Evolution Of The Bean, Black Cover (yes, I like the old entries!), Lung Sketching Scrolls, and more. Shopping: Jet Pens, Cult Pens, JStationery, Goulet Pens, The Journal Shop, NoteMaker, and probably more.

  28. Leigh Reyes’s My Life as a Verb if I want to drool over pens; Leo Babuta’s Zen Habits if I need inspiration to actually pick up my pens and use them.

  29. The Pen Addict started me down this slippery slope. I also spend way too much time on Goulet Pens and their Ink Nouveau site and Youtube channel. The Goulets post so much great knowledge!

  30. I’m all over the map when stalking for stationery. Most notably Pen-Addict, JetPens, #Instagram (for pocket dumps and EDC) and YouTube pen reviews

  31. Office Supply Geek and Peninkcillian. My favorite thing to do is dig through the clearance section in my local office supply store. I found some really cheap but nice fountain pens that way.

  32. Ouf, so close to closing time!
Besides your site, I check Office Supply Geek and Scription. However for more drawing/craft related stuff I follow Moleska on livejournal and sas-does on blogspot.
The best is still going to every art store I see and spending hours deciding whether this 1000th sketchbook is worth buying (they are always worth it!).
Thank you for organizing the giveaways!!!

  33. Quite a few, actually: Gourmet Pens, Whatever!, FPGeeks, Ink Nouveau, Lady Dandelion, Notebook Stories, Rants of The Archer, A Penchant For Paper, My Life As A Verb, Office Supply Geek, Inkophile, Biffy Beans, Rhodia Drive; to name but a few.

  34. The Fountain Pen Network has awesome user reviews and lots of people discussing inks, stationary and pens 🙂 It’s a nice friendly place!

  35. I’ve been reading pen addict and gourmet pens. And design sponge (the sneak peeks of homes often show pretty great home workstations)

  36. FPgeeks, Inkofile, and Office Supply Geek and Rhodia Drive are my favorites. But you’ve introduced me to so many more through your site–thanks!

  37. fpgeeks.com (third is a charm?) I will soon be leaving for my firrst ever camp vacations, I’D love to have something new to write my journal with…

  38. Penaddict.com and clickypost.com are stellar sites. PA was my gateway into my pen and paper obsession.

  39. Being new to the blog rolls I’m trying over at mypenneedsink.com. Gourmet Pens, yourself and a few others have great posts and sharing the comment love. Thanks!
