  1. I found this blog through your review of the Monteverde Poquito fountain pen, and love your site! I rarely subscribe to blogs, yet to yours I have! In 2015, I’d like to see more stationery paper reviews. Thanks.

  2. I really love the refill guide! Very informative!
As for what I would like to see more next year, more giveaways? Haha… I’m pretty happy with all the posts.

  3. Keep up those fashion fridays I Love them. Also your travel stories and shopping adventures. Have A Merry and A Happy.

  4. Oh, see on The Desk or from The Desk? I’ve really enjoyed hearing your point-of-view on The Pen Addict. Maybe a few more guest spots on some podcasts would be cool!

  5. I confess, as much as I love your review posts, my favorites are always the Fashionable Friday posts, because of the shiny factor.

I found your blog because of your posts about Bullet Journal, so those are also favorites of mine, since they led me to your fabulous blog! 🙂

  6. Ana – your fountain pen reviews are invaluable but my favorite post was the one about Commonplace Books – I couldn’t believe I had never heard about them before and I immediately started one. With my lovely pens and Rhodia or Clairefontaine paper (my Commonplace Book is looseleaf, for flexibility) I am having so much fun!

  7. I just recently found your blog and just love it. I’d love to learn if there are sources other than clairefontaine for French ruled notebooks.

  8. I’ve only just found your blog in the last month or two, but it’s already a must-read for me. I love your ink reviews and would love to see more of those.

I also followed your recent series on ring binders with interest, because years ago I bought a gorgeous leather binder from Franklin Covey about 10 minutes before I got a job that demanded that all of my calendar and task management take place in Outlook. You’ve given me some good ideas about re-purposing it so it isn’t a complete waste of money!

  9. I love everything about your site. You are so detailed and you do excellent research to bring info to your readers. A glossary may be an idea for a future endeavor. A link from your home page to an everlasting list? Newbies may like it (what’s a nib exactly?) and veterans of all things desk oriented may find it useful for reminders. Thank you for your blog and the great giveaways. Merry Christmas and Happy New Yer!

  10. I’m a big fan of the Pilot Petit line of pens and other mini/pocket pens, pencils, and office supplies (including staplers, scissors, etc.). Maybe you could do a post reviewing such products, focusing on the best and worst, or most interesting/novel? Thanks!

  11. My favorite posts are always the Link Love and your pen reviews. Thank you for the content you provide. I hope you have a good holidays.

  12. I’ve had an idea floating around in my head for a week or so now: a buyer’s guide to your second fountain pen. I think a lot of us start with Lamys or other similar “budget” models, but there’s a point where you start wondering what else is out there. For me, that’s where things have gotten a little overwhelming. Even if I don’t win, I’d still like to read that post!

  13. I still can’t remember what I wanted to order, but I’m sure if I win I’ll figure it out! Hope you have wonderful holidays. 🙂

I have a soft spot in my heart for Fashion Fridays!

  14. I rarely subscribe to blogs, but find The Desk well written and informative. I would like to see more tips for new fountain pen users.

  15. First off, I must commend you on bringing together all this great ink/paper/desk stuff for all of us to enjoy! I’ve appreciated seeing the Kickstarter/New Product features of items that I wasn’t aware of. Keep up the great work!

  16. I agree with the previous comments and will just add that I’d like to see a pen or paper review video now and then, too. Merry Christmas!

  17. I’d love to see more reviews of notebooks, wooden pencils, and non-fountain pens. But I’m happy to read almost all of your posts no matter what… Thanks so much for the giveaway!

  18. Honestly, I love all your posts, even though I don’t read them as frequently as I would like. I always pay attention to the fountain pen and ink posts, but I love anything on the Fieldnotes and such notebooks. I think you do a marvelous job and I don’t know how you manage all of it.

  19. I love your Fashion Friday posts and have found many products to add to my shopping list by following the links you add to these posts.

  20. I am a devoted fan of the Parker 61 – how about something about that pen and its demise and the long lasting life of the various editions of the original (not today’s) Parker 51. I love reading your blog and researching before I buy!

  21. You did a great introduction to ring bound planners this year. How about an introduction to something else – could be a brand of ink, different paper types, etc. I just really liked the way you went into so much detail with those linked posts.

  22. Love the blog and it was filled with fabulous content all year long. In 2015, I’d love to see you expand on your refill guide with reviews, maybe some suggested pen + refill pairings, etc. Keep up the great work!

  23. Definitely here for the pen reviews, and I’d love more perspectives on ink and paper as well. But I would also love to see you explore the non-stationery side of the desk more, more on organization and display and aesthetics. Basically, anything 😀

  24. I’d like to see more LWA things (events, maybe product reviews if you can? I am seriously coveting that messenger bag but oh my wallet…) – I believe your blog was the one that sent me in that direction initially, and here I am now, lifetime member, haha. And, perhaps, if you’d like – some of your style of correspondence? I’m not big for paper ephemera, but I do like my small collection of rubber stamps and I adore sealing wax even if I get precious little use out of it.

When you think about it, a huge number of desks, particularly portable ones, were devoted to correspondence for most of history. The rest handled finance…and I wouldn’t mind seeing some systems for that, too! I’m hardly scrambling for funds but I wish I had better control over where and when I was spending, and was able to keep better track of those things.

  25. I’m so grateful for all your posts. I’d like to see one about making one’s own notepads from scratch/scrap paper or ways you manage slips of paper too good to throw away.

  26. More fountain pen/notebook options for lefties, and tricks of the trade for finding discontinued pens (been trying to find a Retro 51 Tornado Umbra Orange for like a year now).

  27. I’m addicted to pens and paper. Now I’m addicted to you! Thanks for feeding my passion. Love, love, love your blog!

  28. I discovered Jet Pens through this blog. I really enjoy your Fashionable Friday posts, and would like to see some reviews on gel pens.

  29. I love the blog as it is! Definitely continue with the Ink Links posts, as it’s (sadly) one of the last of its kind at this point… Thanks for the giveaway, and have a merry Christmas & happy New Year!

  30. I like it when you do that Friday themed post matching stationery with clothes/home goods, should be more fun if you do that with real people (and their carries).

  31. I think you’re blog has a good mixture of categories. I also agree with the Ink Link posts. It helps me when I don’t have time to go reading other blogs. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  32. Love your blog! I am inspired by your posts. I’d love to see something about organization and favorite lists, from pens to paper. Happy Holidays!

  33. Hi I really am loving your current series on ring bound planners. For 2015, I’d like to hear more personal stories about how you got into pens and how you incorporate them into your life

    Thanks

  34. I really enjoy your blog. Keep up the good work. Would like to see a review of commonly found marble composition notebooks.

  35. I’d love to see a post on technique for lefty’s. I’m just starting down the road to improving my handwriting after decades of being proud of how bad it was.

  36. I have loved your blog for years. What I’d like to see in 2015 are more posts about awesome desks and work spaces. If my memory serves, those were very frequent back in the day. While I love all things office/stationery/pen/paper/etc, I miss seeing pictures and posts about really incredible and inspirational work space setups. Thanks for all you do!

  37. I’m loving the new series on planners and I would love to see more about planners and planner organization because seeing posts like that give me so much inspiration for my own planning

  38. As a person just getting into fountain pens, I find the reviews of pens very helpful! It’s nice to see a bunch of pens in action.

I also like looking at all the pretty ink swatches. They inspire so much dreaming!

  39. Would love to see more profiles of stationery shops from around the world! I think it would be a great way to get guest writers on the blog.

  40. Hi. Thank you for the great series on Planners, and very timely! In 2015 I would like to see a post on various rollerball refills, especially looking at ceramics and what you think. Your knowledge and experience in this area would be greatly appreciated. Happy Holidays!

  41. It would be fun to see a pen comparison by country or region. To see what are some emerging manufacturing and quality trends.

  42. I love your blog ,my personally favorite post is the one bout guidesheets – since it reminded me of something super useful I used as a kid and then totally forgot it

  43. I love the variety of topics — pens, pencils, tape dispensers, planners, etc. I’m glad it is not all pen content, although I do love the fountain pen related topics best of all. I also love the photos of cool desks/offices that you find occasionally. Thanks for the fun and informative content.

  44. Agreed on the “All Things Green”; also, more ink. And, pens. And, well, actually, just keep doing what you’re doing!

  45. Thanks so much for this blog! I’d be interested in finding out what you do with all the fancy boxes pens come in. I hate to add them to a landfill, but don’t have any great ideas for what to do with them.

  46. I love your blog 🙂 It is practically perfect as it is and it is hard to imagine how it could improve, but maybe more about other office supplies, like pencil sharpener reviews…

  47. I love the blog, but in the coming year a feature on desks and desk layouts, or the desk layouts of professionals, would be interesting.

  48. Happy Holidays Desk! For 2015, perhaps you could. . .feature wonderful stationery stores more often, explore the business side of stationery, visit some stationery shows (there’s a big one in NYC), or perhaps do more sponsored giveaways!

    All the best,

    bob

  49. I like the comparisons. The ring bound planner one was epic! Also, the Ask the Desk Feature. And I like when you’re on The Pen Addict. Thanks for all you do!

  50. I cannot believe how many beautifully crafted notebooks and supplies are really out there. I have been buying moleskine for years, but with hobonichi, roterfaden, and midori, a whole new world of quality has opened up. Please continue to see what new and interesting systems are out there internationally. With online shopping, it is pretty easy to get.

  51. I really enjoy the mix of pens you review. Like the Parker Jotter, I tend to avoid ballpoints but hearing that it will take gel refills makes me go hmmmm….

Also paper. Lots and lots of paper based things.

  52. I would love to see more about how folks use planners and integrate them into their digital lives, too. I really enjoy your blog.

  53. I’d enjoy follow up review posts. Do pens blob after much use? Do notebook covers hold up? That sort of thing.

  54. I love the links posts! I would also like to see how I can integrate all my to-do and to-remember lists into something more cohesive and useful. Thanks for a great blog!

  55. Thank you for all your great reviews of products and their sources. I’d like to see reviews of the best pens for left handed people. My ink always smears.

    1. Jackie, I’d like to think that all my reviews are reviews for the best pens for lefties since I am a lefty. I try to include any issues I have with a pen in my reviews but mostly I’ve found that a good pen is a good pen whether you’re a lefty or a righty. The only true issues I run into are with larger width calligraphy italic nibs. Much beyond a 1.1mm stub and I can’t get it to write smoothly or consistently. More to follow!

  56. Loving the site. I’d like to see more on notebook hacks that incorporate bullet lists, or other clever analog systems & devices. I enjoy reading and trying the hacks, but have not found the “right” one for me.

  57. Long time lurker, first time poster. I’m a big planner fan and love to see what options are out there along with ideas on how to use them. Also other organizational desk items like folders, bins, pen/pencil holders, etc. And how about some videos on pens, planners, notebooks, pencils– the works!

  58. While I love reading about what I would call ‘posh’ notebooks, maybe you could do a post on the cheaper, yet just as useful and ‘oh so got to buy that now’ notebooks and journals. Tuesday Morning usually has quite a nice selection, as does Home Goods.
