Giveaway: Uppercase Magazines Issues 20 & 22

Uppercase 20 & 22

Uppercase Magazine recently had a $10 back issue sale and I stocked up on three issues I really wanted. What I didn’t realize was that I had already purchased two of the three issues I ordered. So, my loss is your gain!

I fell in love with Uppercase early on but became a loyal follower after the Issue 12 with the fabulous carrier pigeon illustration on the cover which is all about creative adventures.

These two issues are stunning! I photographed my copies. The giveaway copies are still safely wrapped up in their shrinkwrap.

I’d like to give two readers the chance to try an issue of Uppercase magazine for themselves. Issue 20 is focused on the theme of “broadcasting” including stories about ham radio operators, manifestos and posters.

Issue 22 is all about color — like vintage labels, Pantone color chips and paint swatches, for example.

  1. Oh gosh, I would love issue 22! I love vintage (and modern) labeling/typography, and it seems like it would be such a fun issue to pore through! Issue 19 looks like another I’d enjoy.

  2. I’m quite interested in issue 22, and ever since you’ve been posting about Uppercase, I’ve been interested in the magazine. They look like an absolutely marvelous periodical.

  3. Issue 20 looks pretty amazing! I’ve been looking through the website since seeing Uppercase mentioned here, and I might have to subscribe soon.

  4. both of these issues look fabulous, so i would be happy with either one. though, if i had to pick, i would vote for #22

  5. Oh, yum! Nothing like pure Extract of Sphinx to give those Christmas cookies that special zing! Grandma’s secret ingredient is at last revealed!

  6. Not an entry, just a comment: It’s a great magazine. I recently got the typography issue. Postage from Canada to the UK is prohibitive but a few newsagents in London get them and stick them on eBay.

  7. I love vintage labels (and color), so I’d choose #22. As far as another issue, I have been pining over #23 and calligraphy 🙂

  8. I blame you for falling in love with Uppercase since your post about the calligraphy issue! 🙂 I now have issue #17 in my hands and would love to get my hands on #23. The wood type faces and the hats of Mr. Drexler made me realize I really would like #20 in my new collection. Thank you!

  9. I’d like to try Issue #20. The other issue that seems interesting to me (very!) is #17, The Special Stationery Issue. Thanks for the giveaway.
