Giveaway: Baron Fig 2018 Planner

It’s the season for getting prepared for the coming year. Baron Fig has launched their 2018 planner. ($22). It’s got all the features from last year like the spiffy charcoal fabric cover, and all the nice features from the 2017 edition.

Inside the box is a year-at-a-glance calendar and then underneath is the blind embossed charcoal cover of the 2018 planner waiting to be filled with your plans for the new year.

The planner, like last year’s, starts with the monthly pages then continues with the week-on-two-pages. The back of the book is filled with dot grid paper for extra notes.

That’s right, this edition can be all yours.

  1. Launch a project I’ve been working on, for the last 5 years, to help in natural disaster situations.

  2. One goal I have is to take and pass 1 class per semester for my Master’s program in 2018.

  3. Since I’m on a fixed income, finding a way to improve my finances has become a priority.

  4. My goal for 2018 is to spend more time doing things I love or want to learn (knitting, crocheting, drawing, etc) instead of wasting my down time.

  5. Thanks for doing this giveaway! I plan to complete my last class for my master scuba diver certification.

  6. I want to work on learning a little French to prep for my trip to France next summer. My goal is to be able to communicate at least the basics.

  9. My big plan for 2018 (and the remainder of 2017) is to clean up my credit! The ultimate goal is a new car. I have been without one for five years and finally want to have wheels again. Then I can make trips throughout my beautiful home state of Arizona and visit places I have never seen.

  10. I hope to renovate our master bathroom and my craft room while making extra money to travel

  11. My goal is to write something thoughtful, every day, by hand and with fountain pen. Thanks!

  12. My goal for 2018 is to find a better balance with the number of hours that go in to my business to carve out room for creative endeavors and possibly housekeeping.

  13. One of my planning goals for 2018 will be to ensure I set aside time for myself to restore energy and pursue interests. Most of my planning now focuses on responsibilities – work, family, etc. – and personal time slips off the radar. Setting aside time for myself will help me be more engaged and focused for the long list of other responsibilities.

  14. In 2018 I am going to find the perfect 5+ acres to buy and begin building our house!

  15. I started a small business two months ago and in 2018 I want to establish a partnership with a local non-profit dog rescue to provide free collars to newly adopted dogs.

  16. To go to Disneyland as many times as possible with my daughters before I have to pay for tickets for them too

  17. I’d like one!

I have two goals: get direct at my job (I’m a W2 contractor) and to see as many music concerts as I can at local venues around mid, southeastern, and central Michigan as I can.

  18. Now that my legs are once again working in tandem, although one is braced, I want to ride my bicycles again. The open road and rails to trails. Then I will have something to plan and journal!!

  19. I’m currently in school and finishing up in the spring, so my goal in 2018 is to get a job.

  20. I plan to move into a new house, have a new baby (!!), and be the best me that I can be in 2018

  21. My goal for 2018 is to finally clean out “the dungeon” aka my basement store room. It may take the whole year!

  22. In 2018 I’m going to tackle procrastination. I’ve gotten a jump start in the last few months and learning to put together my productivity system …

  23. My goal is to live a year free of health problems and a planner will help me accomplish this.

  24. My goal for 2018 is do a lot of research and hopefully get one step closer to getting my PhD.

  27. My goal for 2018 is to teach my son to ride a balance bike so we can ride together in the park.

    Thanks for the chance!

  28. My goal for 2018 is to get stuff done. I’m a terrible procratinator and don’t get as much done as I know I can.

  29. I’m with Mark N: “My main goal for 2018 will be to make it to 2019”

Assuming that we (or at least I) do survive 2018, I’d like to have been able to make it the most organized and efficient of years using this prize.

Thanks for this, and best of luck to everyone!

  30. To move from Montana back to North Carolina with the family with a minimum of fuss and to settle into a new house with my youngest daughter now working.

  31. My goal for 2018 is: staying alive — several health issues from this year will continue into the next

  32. One goal I have for 2018 is that I would like to procrastinate less and be more active in my college.

  33. One goal I have for 2018 is to simply find more time to sit down and write. I have a few lovely fountain pens that I would like to see get more use.

  34. In 2018 I’d like to finish my first screenplay for TV and submit it to a major studio!

  35. We have a monthly supper club with dear friends, one of whom we lost early this year. We missed a month because busy lives blah blah blah (no excuse, also I think sometimes sadness leads to inertia, which is not particularly helpful.) My goal is to make sure that dinner is on the calendar every month during 2018.

  36. I have many goals, two of which are: find and move into a great house and start the business I’ve always wanted for myself.

  37. In 2018 I want to make traveling with my young son a priority so that he grows up with an appreciation for all people and places.

  38. Having just left the full-time workforce (my choice!), I look forward to making 2018 a year of “fun projects with friends”…that just happen to make me money. Maybe my friends at Baron Fig have some fun projects in store?

  39. Goal for 2018: get published in a nursing journal! Also, I am hoping to write and illustrate a children’s book in my spare time. Having a planner to dedicate to that would be so great.

  40. Biggest goal of 2018 is to go to my first Pen show! I’m really hoping to get to the DC pen show since it’s the closet to me next year. But I’m also hoping to finally get a passport and maybe make a small trip to Canada as well.

  41. My goals so far for 2018 are:
    1) close 1 account per month (I sell wholesale coffee)
    2) Read more with my wife and daughters

  42. My goal is to continue working out, eating right and to lose 10 more pounds (goal weight 190).

  43. #1 write as much as I type
#2 take my kids to a pen show

    Thank you for this opportunity!

  44. I love trying out new planners especially one from Baron Fig. My goal in 2018 is to change my eating habits so I can stop taking medication!

  45. 2018 goals so far…
    – Get better organized and lighten my EDC
    – Get in better shape

  46. One of my 2018 goals is to start selling my artwork. (First I will have to increase my daily art making so I can generate enough and improve to the point of being comfortable trying to sell.)

  47. Thanks for the giveaway. My primary goal for 2018 is to get a better ‘handle’ on task-management.

  48. My employer just shut down the research site where I worked, so I am unemployed for the first time in more than 20 years. Therefore, one goal for 2018 is to find a job in what I hope will be a new career. As a stretch goal, I hope to convince the woman of my dreams – who currently lives 3000 miles away – that we should throw caution to the winds and get married!

  49. I would really like this planner. I need to write down all the things I need to do for a day otherwise I am apt to forget them. This would be perfect for me. I have a goal this for 2018 and now to draw every day in some form or other and I would like to perfect my drawing and watercolor painting, it brings me such joy as I am in pain every day with fibromyalgia. Little things like what I mentioned help me to forget the pain for a while.
