  1. my action for 2013 is to make more to-do lists & keep on top of them so that forgetting is not an excuse to procrastinate! i’d love to win one of these to help with that πŸ™‚

  2. My action plan is to find a local charity or community group in my city, join it, and be an actual contributing member. Action!

  3. Developing a collaborative program in my community which empowers young girls and encourages individuality through creative writing, takes a lot of organizing. This is where the Action Diary will come in very very handy!

  4. I plan on improving my running regimen by holding myself accountable in a written form. Also, would love to be able to organize my life in a portable manner that is written so that I can cross off my accomplishments when complete.

  5. Actually move out of home, instead of spending just 4 nights a week in dorms and pretending that I’m being independent πŸ™‚

  6. I am going to get more involved with local government and continue to mentor students in my area. These planners will let me keep on tabs with what is going on when.

  7. Oh gosh! That sounds like the planner I need! I am very good at writing lists, alright, but I am also pretty darn good at procrastinating. I have been working very hard to shed weight for the past year and a half, as what I had couldn’t possibly called a life at the time. For a long time! So this book might help me plan and organise all the little goals, trips and eventual sports classes. All the steps I need to be taking to get fit and healthy. – And hopefully back to college eventually! That’s for the year after next, though.) I have plans, now I just need focus .. πŸ˜€

  8. I am a senior finishing my portfolio for a graphic design degree. I have 1.5 more semesters to go, and a lot of work to do! 2013 is going to be a very busy year, and organizing what I need to get done will definitely be needed. Then color is great!

  9. In 2013 I will graduate and move, and try not to panic while doing so. There’s so much to keep track of as I finish the last semester and a half of classes, and preparing to move into a new phase of life. I am also a member of the student leadership group, and I want to leave a positive mark on this school as I pass the torch down. Having a planner helps me keep my sanity, and this looks like a good one!

  10. I have just two major actions for 2013…. to finish my master degree and get into PhD program. Lot of to do but hopefully worth it.

  11. My 2013 actions include: Taking my collegiate Formula Hybrid Team (a student run race car building & racing team) to a podium finish in our international competition in 2013, Working hard to get above a 3.5GPA, and doubling the size of my school’s ASME student chapter. All of this on top of my 4 jobs. Needless to say I’ve never needed an action planner more.

  12. As a student, community service is a requirement to graduate, and I’ve been serving my hours pretty diligently. I’m hoping to sign up for some other, larger things – such as peer reading programs.

  13. Oh gosh, I have a ton, but my main ones are to further my chances of getting a good job in the film or TV industries (by doing internships, making short films, generally prostituting myself to anyone who will listen(!)) and also to think of a suitable topic for my PhD and start applying for funding.

    (Apologies if this posts twice!)

  15. What a great planner! My action is to successfully move to a new city (Minneapolis) and do some meaningful work for a nonprofit organization. I could certainly use a planner to make things easier!

  16. 2013 is going to be full of action and planning for me. My family is relocating (we just made a huge relocation a month ago) again in the summer. I also plan on quitting my 12-year career as a teacher to pursue my dream of opening up a pen and stationery store! I’m SO excited! Since we will be living away from all friends and family, I plan on getting heavily involved in community/volunteer work in order to build a support network, make friends, and create a customer base for my shop.

  17. That turquoise is gorgeous and begs for a matching pen. I am planning to do a workshop at the library for teens to promote journaling. They will make their own journal and then I’ll teach some fun ways to mix art with introspection and throw in a few stress management activities while we’re at it. I will also probably do a presentation on using art in therapy at my agency. I keep a personal planner that i use as doodle dictionary, idea repository and color sampler and haven’t found one for next year yet. I’d love to plan out the year with this! Thanks.

  18. I am tragically alarmed at the mention of 2013, but goodness it is just a few Rhodia No 16’s away. I plan to continue with the project I’ve been working on with a group of people living with AIDS by expanding to meet our future needs. We will be making more space available for participation. Personally, I am planning to expand my own personal self improvement project by actually participating in the coming year. I live in a great community that is filled with wonderful people doing wonderful work(s) of all kinds and there is never a shortage of initiatives available to be part of. So I will make a special effort on behalf of the “Well Appointed Desk” to give my 110 %. Thanks for all of the great info. I will be consuming more of that too in 2013, which I personally consider to foster a fuller, richer, creative and enlightened self. I may at the request of others, consider an overhaul of my sense of humor as well. <3

  19. My action this year is to spend more time raising money for books for children in poor communities both in Australia and World wide. I’ve been doing it for a couple of years now and plan on getting even more books sent out this year.

  20. I have a lot of hobbys related to stationary but particularly to fountain pens. It is hard to keep up with a student’s budget so I plan to use what I have for the university and keep a strict studying discipline so I can finish fast, get a job and be able to keep this wonderful hobbies πŸ™‚

  21. my action for myself is to be more diligent about keeping a journal. writing helps me feel more sane, but i often let it go to the wayside. as far as the community, i am still working on trying to get recycling for my apartment building.

  22. My action for 2013 is to use less plastic; I’m horrified by the amount of plastic waste that ends up in our oceans and I want to do what I can to reduce my contribution to that. My other action is to publish some of my writings. I’ve been writing for most of 2012, and I’d love to see a short story or poem get published next year!

  23. I have a few main actions for 2013. One was this summer, and one will begin in March 2013.

    1. I am writing again. I stopped my personal writings a few years ago when I began to do business writing for a living. I am back on the horse keeping both a blog and several handwritten journals. It’s awesome, and looking at this day calendar, it occurred to me that I can put a once a week reminder just in case a busy week kept me from writing. Thanks for the idea!

    2. The other one is to move out of my apartment when the lease expires. Apartments aren’t required to recycle, so I don’t have a recycle bin. I was doing pretty good at taking and delivering my recycling to the recycle center, to work, or to a friend’s house, but it’s getting easier and easier to “ignore” it. So I am going to move someplace where recycling is not this complicated. I’m afraid that if I don’t, I might become a non-recycler because it’s easier that way πŸ™

  24. My action for 2013 is to spend more time on sketching and feeding my creativity. Also to take a week long vacation to Santa Fe, NM maybe even longer.

  25. I’m planning to pay off my debts and restart my yoga practice once I no longer have that chunk of my paycheck going to payments.
