Daycraft planners for 2013

Daycraft planner 2013

The fine folks at Daycraft sent me two new 2013 planners to share. More details on how to win at the bottom of the post.

The first up is a bright orange, leatherette-covered week-at-a-glance Signature Chromatic A5 planner. Its approximately 6″x8.25″ if you’re not familiar with the European and Asia paper sizing. It is filled with bright white paper and helpful info pages in the front of the book like international holidays and time zones. The bookmark is a bright sunshine yellow with a nicely sealed edge so it won’t fray. This edition is available in English and Chinese. Price for the book is $259 HK (approx. $33US).

The paper quality is about the same thickness as a Moleskine. I went into greater detail in the previous post about the Daycraft notebooks and planners but the thinner paper keeps the books slim and portable.

The Chromatic planner has gorgeous colored edges with the year in white. The leatherette covers are soft and flexible making the book easily lay flat and tuck into a bag.

Next up is the Pink A6 Executive Diary which is about 4.25″x5.75″. Its comparable in size to a pocket Moleskine or Field Notes book though its a little wider.

Its a day-at-a-glance with ivory pages and matching pink edging. Even the satin ribbon book mark is pink! The book closes with a silver stud and a purple elastic. The paper stock is the same weight as the Chromatic Planner and it also includes helpful information in the front of the book.

(PS: These are the last few photos taken with the dying camera so I apologize for the image quality. Love, money and endless Photoshopping would not make these images any less pink but future photos should be of better quality.)

  1. I love the orange one! I have trouble finding a planner that I like and sticking to it, but the orange one seems perfect! I would love to win it!

  2. I have two almost blank planners, one from 2010 partially filled, and the other from 2012, and it starts from January 18! I’ll be able to use them in 2021 and 2040, respectively, when the calendars match again. Until then I am lost. Please help. A6. Thank you.

  3. I would love the pink one, though the coloured edges on the orange had me making grabby hands. I could really use a day-at-a-glance to help plan my time better. 🙂

  4. The colorful edges on the orange planner had me from the get-go. It’s beautiful, and that would be my choice.

No matter how digital everything gets, I always insist on a paper planner each year – just can’t give them up!

  5. I would love the orange planner! I use planners to keep track of my daily tasks and I also use it as a micro journal. Even though I’m a total technology junkie, I still prefer paper planners.

  6. Love the color on the orange one–like another commenter, I use mine for a daily journaling. When I remember. 🙂

  7. ACK! I found a typo (so embarrassing) AND mis-typed my email address! Public humiliation! I’ve fixed things here. *sigh*

I would love to have the orange planner. If I win it, I’ll do a video review for you! I’ve discovered through the years that having a visually interesting planner is so important for me because I won’t look at it unless it looks good. And if I don’t look at my planner, it obviously doesn’t help me. I’ve always used stickers, doodles, etc. to spruce up my planners to attract my eyes, but I find that I need a planner with color and pizzaz on every page. I carry a mini Dodo Pad with me, but I’m realizing I need a larger planner for my desk at home to record events of the day and do some journaling, as well as take more detailed notes. I think the orange one is a bright, beautiful color that would help to perk me up a bit and the rainbow pages are right up my alley. I like the column format of a week on two pages – more room than I have with my mini, but not so much that I’d be left with a blank book (which bothers me for some reason). I don’t care much for timed slots on my planners as my daily needs don’t call for that format. Thanks for giving these away. Good luck to all, but I hope I win!

  8. I’d love the little pink planner. Perfect to carry with me to court-don’t take phones in and my Circa is too big. This would be ideal.

  9. They are both lovely. Like the bright colours. I would love either but the pink is more practical. I love carrying a diary around to keep notes in addition to my electronic diary.

  10. I would love the orange one. I am in desperate need of the largest planner possible as I am a travel agent. I have soooo many bookings going on all at once I need as much help as I can get!

  11. I would love the orange planner, it will let me organize my work meetings and to help me utilize my time better.

  12. I love new planners! There’s just something about a crisp, clean book to organize your time and ideas. The pink pocket one is darling.

  13. As much as I love the color of the orange one better (and the colored edges!), weekly planners don’t work for me. So pink it is. It’ll be so much easier to find at the bottom of my bag than my black Moleskein I usually use.

  14. Orange is always good. Tis’ flashy yet the color of safety. And I need more space to write than the pink one will afford.

  15. I love the color of the orange planner and the edges! As a student, the weekly format is perfect for organizing all of my assignment due dates, upcoming exams, and school events!

  16. I am totally in love with the happy orange planner with the rainbow edges. It just makes me want to be more organize and write in it everyday! I really love the column dates and clean format! Thanks for this great giveaway!

  17. I love the large orange one. It is big and bright and colourful, and would look great on my desk. And the week-at-a-glance format is what is currently working best for me.

  18. My 11th wedding anniversary is on October 20th. My wife is a pink and green junkie, and stubbornly refuses to use a digital planner (a stance that I find extremely admirable). She would absolutely love the pink pocket planner and, with three kids under five (4 kids under 35, if you count me), she has a lot to keep up with.

  19. I have saved every planner since I was in 8th grade. They’re my most favorite keepsakes. I was just looking at this year’s and thinking about the memories it holds, and wondering what my next one will look like. I think it looks like Orange!

    Thanks for another giveaway!

  20. Oh my God! I love that orange planner! I already bought a planner for 2013 but I’m thinking of ditching it if I win this one! 😀

  21. I would love the pink one! I would use it everyday for school and for appointment that I may have they are so cute!!!

  22. Those are both totally fantastic. But if I had to choose one, it would be the orange one. I can’t get past the beautiful edging. Fantastic!
