Honestly it’s a toss up, Love the fountain pen for letters (providing there is good paper) but for everyday haul it around with me.. A good old bic clic (Field Notes) they are cheap(ish) have a nice clip and just work. Also don’t have to worry about it growing legs at work.
Yay mechanical pencils!
I love fountain pens because they make me take care and a little bit of extra time when writing, and I usually write nicer then. But other then that, it’s gotta be pencils. For drawing! 😀
With 40+ of them it has to be fountain pens
For sure a fountain pen. As a back up, Hi-Tec-C.
Fountain pens. There’s a different one for every different type of writing: letters, notes, calligraphy, signatures, drawing. Only one outdated exception: carbon paper.
I love fountain pens, but I think I like Gels the most. 🙂 (it also might have to do with my lefty nature and getting ink everywhere!)
Gotta go with the fountain pen. It makes me feel like what I’m doing is important.
Fountain pens, for sure. They just feel so classy!
I am starting to get into fountain pens more, but gel pens have been my favourite for the longest time. Maybe in a year or two fountain pens will be my new favourite.
I love my new fountain pen, but I still find myself reaching for gel pens when I’m grading student essays.
Mechanical pencils! All the way!
Omg no question..fountain pens!! <3 <3 They can have my heart and soul and any other remaining organs they wish for!

Like most folks here I lohove fountain pens but use a gel for day-to-day (sometimes my Field Notes ball point). Also, my sister got me a gel pen in Bangladesh that writes so well I think up stuff to write just as an excuse to use it.
Always fountain pens!
That was a hard poll to answer! I love all of them (although I’d trade out fountain pen for dip pen in a heartbeat.) So I answered with the pen I’ve used the most today: the fiber/felt tip. Love my Le Pens!
I adore fountain pens, but there are times gel is a necessity. I will use fountain pen when and where I can 🙂
Fountain pens — by a whisker over felt tips.
Fountain pens make me blush, I love them so. Yet I keep a couple of LePens and Sharpie Pens in my purse for when I’m on the go.
I love mechanical pencils
This was hard… Don’t have a fountain pen (sad face) but I use Le Pen and the ultra fine point Hi-tec-c every day.
Fountain pen, hands down for writing.
Fountain pens! Even though I’m left handed, which makes them a pain.
Mechanical pencil, closely followed by fountain pen. But what I probably use most and enjoy least is ‘keyboard’.
There’s just something about fountain pens … it makes me happy to write with them!
Ballpoints! I use them to draw, write, bite, everything!
i’m a pencil fan. but i did just order my first fountain pen (i’ve never used one before and this blog convinced me to try one)
I love fountain pens above all, but I also love art pens, gel pens, glitter pens, brush pens. Everything but ball point. However, Jetpens carries the Uni-ball Jetstream F series multi pen that is the sweetest BP ever, my one exception. It always gets admiring comments when I lend it to someone and I have to be sure to get it back. Hope to win so I can buy more pens!!
Fountain pen lover here, although gel pens are more convenient when I’m out & about.
Definitely fountain pens though I’m also a huge fan of brush pens.
I love both gel pens and ballpoints, personally. I love the Hi-Tec-C pens (I have the Coleto multipen) for journal writing, but for everything else I use ballpoints.
I love gel pens with felt-tip pens coming in a close second.
Fountain pens all the way, but I use rollerballs in my planner (can’t find refills with good paper these days).
Fountain pens of course. The broader the stub the better up to 1.1mm.
I LOVE Hi-Tec Cs!
I adore fountain pens! I use them for everything (except carbon paper.) Le Pens are a close second.
Gotta go old school – pencils all the way!
Love fountain pens, but mostly use gel pens – I’m a lefty and need the faster-drying ink! When I have the time to write slowly, fountain pens win.
Its a tie between my pilot 78g fine point and my .38 signo rt
i wanna say that fountain pens, but i love my uni-ball micros. *okay, i said it.*
thank you for the chance of the giveaway.
Fountain pens! gel pens are a close second though.
Ball points have always been my pen of choice.
