Floral Bomb Sunday Giveaway

Flower Bomb

Today is the last of the Anniversary week giveaways. There will be more giveaways in the future but not seven straight days… probably! Anyway, thanks for sticking around and reading the blog. Giving back to the community is the best way I could think for thanking you for reading the blog these past three years.

Today I have a rainbow assortment of florals. I matched a few fun pens with the books like a Sakura opaque white gel, a silver metallic Slicci and a bright pink Zebra Sarasa. The notebooks are from a variety of sources and many of the pages are printed with designs to make notetaking and journaling a little more colorful.

Some items may have been used for writing tests and review but are practically new with one or two pages marked in the back for testing purposes. More items may be added later.

To enter, just leave a comment and tell me your favorite flower to be officially entered. Don’t like flowers? Tell me your favorite tree, herb or plant instead.

FINE PRINT: All entries must be submitted by 10pm CST on Monday, June 24, 2013. All entries must be submitted at wellappointeddesk.com, not Twitter, Tumblr or Facebook, okay? Winner will be announced on Tuesday. Winner will be selected by random number generator from entries that played by the rules (see above). ONE entry per person, please. Please include your email address in the comment form (not in your comment) so that I can contact you if you win. I will not save email addresses or sell them to anyone β€” pinky swear. Shipping via USPS first class is covered. Additional shipping options or insurance will have to be paid by the winner. We are generous but we’re not made of money.

(Shoutout to JetPens and all the other nice folks who’ve given me samples to review over the years)

  1. I would say one of my favorites the Iris. My mother-in-law has many different types so when they bloom it is a riot of colors.
    Thanks again.

  2. Indian Paintbrush and Roses, but only the old-fashioned ones, the newer versions are all overbred for petals and have lost that heady fragrance.

  3. I don’t have just one favorite flower: Sunflowers, Peonies, Geraniums, Tulips, Cecile Bruenner rose, and on and on. Favorite herb is sweet basil and/or cilantro.

  4. I was raised by my grandmother. She was my mother, my father, and my friend throughout my growing up years. Grandma loved violets. Not the fancy african violets that are so hard to grow in pots in your house, but the wild violets that grew in abundance in the shade of the trees in her front yard. Every year, for Valentine’s Day, grandma and I would patiently gather handfuls of the little purple blooms to make nosegays. One for my school teacher, one for my Sunday School teacher, others for special friends. We would poke the stems through a lacy white doilie and tie them with beautiful red ribbons. It took hundreds of the flowers to make even a small nosegay so stooping over and picking so many of them was truly a labor of love. Since the time when my Grandma passed away and her house was sold, I have looked and looked for violets like those that grew in her yard and have never found any. However, they continue to be my favorite flower because they are so beautiful and rare, but especially because they remind me of her. When I was married 9 years ago, I had a few small violets tucked into my bouquet, in honor of my dear Grandma. Violets will always be very special to me!

  5. Flowers – I love them all! I especially look forward to the spring blooms – lily of the valley and daffodils and grape hyacinth … so beautiful after the long winter.

  6. I love lots of flowers but I’ll put down the Sterling Silver roses that my mother grew in her yard. It was my favorite, a lovely lavender rose, and for my engagement party, she arranged the roses in a silver basket and it was the prettiest thing I ever saw.

  7. My favorite flower is the daffodil because it’s what I’ve picked for my mother every single Mother’s Day.

  8. My favorite flower is probably the purple coneflower. They attract butterflies and occasionally a finch. πŸ™‚

  9. I’m very fond of violets and azaleas, but I think my favourite might be hydrangeas because of the amazing colour gradations you get with them.

  10. My two favorite flowers are Foxgloves and Peonies. Foxgloves have always been number one and the number two position often changes.
