Poppin 18-month Planner

Poppin 18-month planner

Poppin has introduced a new line of 18-month planners in the classic A5 (5×8.25″) size. The books feature the same flexible leatherette covers, orange ribbon bookmark, gusseted pocket in the back and paper stock as their journal notebooks. What makes these different is the 236 pages of planning pages printed in a graduated ink color. The first pages are printed in bright cyan blue and the color slowly shifts as you got through the months to citrus green. This color shift is accented by the coordinating end papers — cyan in the front, lime in the back.

The planner starts with a list of US holidays and then features a 2-page monthly calendar followed by week-at-a-glance pages, starting with Monday. The right hand page features lines for note taking. Towards the back are extra pages including lined, a dotted line grid (not grid and not dot grid but a hybrid of the two), a map of the US, a celestial map, and a few pages with a “face grid”.

Lightly debossed on the cover is the dates “13 14” and the Poppin logo, all very subtle. The planner is also available with Pool Blue covers like my notebook and back. All planners have color coordinated elastics.

18-month planners are $15 each and available directly from Poppin.

I’m mid-planner right now but am seriously considering buying a Poppin planner for 2014. Its been unwrapped from the cellophane but is unused. How about if I give this one away to a lucky reader? Someone just headed back to school or hoping to get organized before 2014?

Tell me how you’d get organized with this spiffy planner in the comments to be entered to win.

  1. This would be perfect for my wife who has just started a new job. She will need something to track appointments.

  2. I would use this planner to keep track of my diet and as a travel log. It would probably get me use my old fountain pens again!

  3. I love the note page and the colors! I’d use the dates page for appointments and notes page for to-do lists and more general items that don’t just apply to one day.

  4. I’ll be starting a new job come September (academic years, yeah!) and I always use planners to keep track of my work tasks, meetings, and keep a stats tally of the treatments I’ve done. And the white cover would look smashing with my red metal tool-box. 🙂

  5. It seems fit to replace my banditapple planner which will be over by next month.
It is quite difficult to tell how will I use it. My present planner has a lot of variation in usage pattern, but the left page with dates generally is used to write what I need to to do and et al.

  6. Since school has started, I will use for all of the club meetings that my sophomore has joined, for my son’s after school activities, and events that I have planned for my part-time job.

  7. Right now I’m split between a weekly calendar notebook and another for a weekly to-do list. This would combine both books into one. Very handy!

  8. Ah this thing has such beautiful use of color and simplicity. And it’s in the perfect format and size! Thanks for sharing this it’ll be the perfect accompaniment to my senior year of college. I’m going to need one – giveaway or not!

  9. Not sure I could ever be 100% organized but I would sure love to try! I’m a Hospice volunteer, I help my husband with activities at the small church where he pastors, I am involved in papercraft activities and I have several social engagements each month. I’m sure the Poppin could help me keep track of these obligations. Thanks for the chance to win.

  10. I keep meaning to pick up a planner to keep track of my ADHD coaching and what does and doesn’t work. (Obviously “trying to remember things” is going on the “does not work” list.)

  11. I’ve been frustrated with planner layouts that don’t work for me. Too much space in the “day” box for appointments, and not the right kind of weekly space for to do’s and errands. The Poppin looks like it corrects that issue nicely and that I might actually start using a planner again!

  12. I’ve been looking for a planner with more weekly space and less daily space. I’ve been using a Moleskine daily journal, and while it works, it isn’t ideal. This looks great!

  13. ooh, i start school on monday and i could use this to organize all of the meetings, notes and such. thanks for the chance at the giveaway.

(did you change the server? i can now actually reply on your blog.)

    happy weekend!

  14. I love it! I would be able to keep appointments scheduled on the left side and keep track of work and home to-do’s on the right. It would be a great way to keep organized.

  15. I would love to use it for school to make sure I’m never turn in anything late or miss a exam date. Also, it would be great to use to organize my to-do lists as well. Thank you! 🙂

  16. Give-a-ways are swell.
I have my iPhone, iPad, and Mac to keep me organized, but I like keeping a record of the things I do and the people I see. I liked to keep this record in a hand written format. Lately, I’ve been rolling my own weekly planner in a Rhoida notebook.

  17. I’m starting my own business and I’ve found planners to seriously be the *most* essential item. Trying to keep track of appointments and tasks and employees in a tiny Field Notes has worked but this looks like the “big kahuna.”

  18. School starts this Monday the 26th for me, so this planner would certainly get me into the right studious mindset. Not only that, but I’m doing a rotation at the Veterans’ Affairs hospital all semester, so it’d help organize school tasks and rotation tasks.

  19. I organize everything by way of elaborate notes to myself. I leave them everywhere in my apartment and even tape them over my alarm so I need to wrestle with the thing to shut it off. This helps for when I would otherwise just hit snooze(By the time the clock stops beeping I’m usually awake)

  20. I would love a fresh start for the new (school) year with this sleek, sophisticated planner. i would love to use the blank spaces to track personal goals and family meals… along with the ever-busier commitments of our 2 boys. lovely book!

  21. I use a DIY planner now, but it would be interesting to experiment with a bound planner. It might encourage me to track my habits more and do more project planning.
