Product Review: Everyday Explorers Rubber Stamp Sets

I remembered seeing the Everyday Explorers table in San Francisco last year but never got a chance to purchase anything so I was delighted to see Christine and her wonderful rubber stamps while I was in LA. I grabbed the Currently Inked set (3″x4″ for $10.99) and Pen and Paper set (4″x6″ for $19.99) for myself.

The stamp sets come in a sturdy clear plastic sleeve and each sheet has a thinner clear sheet on the front and back. The thinner front sheet is printed with the design below. The stamps are sticky so they stick to the plastic. To use, just peel the design off the backing sheet.

Each set comes with wonderful, well-written instructions on how to mount it onto the sturdy acrylic block to  use the design. Then, it acts as a regular stamp that can be pressed onto and ink pad and then onto your paper.

I used an old acrylic block that I had in my stash so for longer stamps, I had to turn it sideways to fit on to the block.

They print very crisply with very little pressure. Clear stamps are a bit softer than red rubber so you don’t need to push as hard to get a good clean impression.

I mixed and matched the stamps to create a little testing page for some of the inks I purchased at the show.

Then I added some “currently inked” pens to  the page.

The stamps are super easy to use and the design is A+. The biggest issue you’ll have is choosing which stamps to purchase.

The Giveaway:

Christine at Everyday Explorers provided us with two stamp sets to giveaway: New Pen Day ($19.99) and At The Pen Show ($10.99) plus a 3″x3″ acrylic block ($6). I threw in the new Ranger Archival Ink Pad in Jet Black ($8) (this ink is permanent so once the ink is dry, you can apply fountain pen ink over it and it will not smudge). We will pick one winner who will get all four items.

TO ENTER: Leave a comment below and tell us which set is your favorite. Play along and type in something. It makes reading through entries more interesting for me, okay? One entry per person.

If you have never entered a giveaway or commented on the site before, your comment must be manually approved by our highly-trained staff of monkeys before it will appear on the site. Our monkeys are underpaid and under-caffeinated so don’t stress if your comment does not appear right away. Give the monkeys some time.

FINE PRINT: All entries must be submitted by 10pm CST on Friday, March 8, 2024. All entries must be submitted at wellappointeddesk.com, not Twitter, Tumblr or Facebook, okay? Winner will be announced on Monday. Winner will be selected by random number generator from entries that played by the rules (see above). Please include your actual email address in the comment form so that I can contact you if you win. I will not save email addresses or sell them to anyone — pinky swear. If winner does not respond within 5 days, I will draw a new giveaway winner. Shipping via USPS first class is covered. Additional shipping options or insurance will have to be paid by the winner. We are generous but we’re not made of money. US and APO/AFO only, sorry.

  1. Oh my, this could be the thing that gets me tracking my currently inked pens in an actually organized fashion. So cute! (both of them are adorable, but the currently inked set edges out slightly)

  2. Hard choice! I’d go for New Pen Day first since my reality is I don’t get to pen shows much, sadly.

  3. I love the gone exploring set. I live in a fifth wheel rv full time so these are perfect. But I have to admit that all the sets look pretty darn good! I done have any stamps so some of these will be finding me as I travel the USA!

  4. I love both sets, but if I had to choose only one, it would be the ink-centered set. I love rubber stamps, and I collect pen and ink related stamps.

Thanks, Ana, for your updates and links. They are a highlight of my week!

  5. That is such a hard choice! But if I had to choose, the currently inked set – I can see myself using that more.

  6. These are so cute! I’d go for the Currently Inked set – I have a rotten habit of forgetting to note which pen/ink I’ve used on a page, so when I flip back and say “oooh this moody blue is lovely” I have no idea which of my jillion moody blues it was. Stamps would be enough of a fun novelty that I’d want to use them.

Upon visiting the site to see the full collection, I want… so many sets. Ouch.

    Thanks for doing the giveaway!

  7. New Pen Day! I really like the pen show one as well, i just don’t picture using it much.

  8. Love the stamp that says NEW PEN DAY! Let’s celebrate the little things! 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!

  9. Oh my…which to choose? They are both marvelous. My first thought is – ONE IN EVERY COLOR PLEASE – but -Added To My Collection- is also most excellent. So close your eyes and turn around two times then point. That will be my favorite. (smile)

  10. Ah! The Pen Show set! It makes me think of all the Pen Shows I’ve been to (so far just SF, but been going for a bunch of years now) and seeing all my favourite pen people & their pen goodies, taking workshops & just having such a good time! Thank you for the giveaway!

  11. I love the Currently Ink/Ink of the Day set. I must have missed them in LA, but hopefully they’ll be at other shows.

  12. Oh wow, these are the coolest!!! Gosh – my favorite is probably the Pen & Paper set, but the Currently Inked is a close second. Thanks for the possibility of winning these!

  13. The New Pen Day stamp is on my wishlist! I finally started a dedicated notebook for my currently inked and they’d be great for that.

  14. I like the stamp set that has the one with the pen nib hovering over an ink splat. Too cute. Can we buy these if we don’t win them?

  15. Both of these sets are really cute. I think I’d have more use out of the “New Pen Day” set. BTW, is anyone from The Desk planning to attend the Arkansas Pen Show coming up at the end of this month?

  16. New Pen Day is my favorite. I love inking up and matching the pen to the ink.

  17. How do you pick between the two? They’re both so fun and complimentary. Would be stoked to have either. I’d probably have to go with the Pen and Paper set if I had to choose, though.

  18. I love how creative this can be to use. I already have my mind spinning up new ideas to use these cute illustrated prints. The one with the ink splatter out is a fave. It caught my attention when I first began reading this post and checking out the images. Could see having so many colors be part of that spill of words written inside the splatter as a message on a gift note. However, each of them are so amazing.

  19. Ohhh how cute are these stamp sets!?! I’d definitely love to use the Currently Inked set on a daily basis.

  20. They’re all cute, but the ‘currently inked’ set seems like it would be super handy for me!

  21. I really prefer the new pen day set. While I do love the pen show set, I don’t get to go to a pen show every year, I only manage to get to one occasionally. But as for the new pen day set, I’m already imagining the ways in which I could use them if I won.

  22. I like the New Pen Everyday set – it would help with my goal of using other pens in my stash instead of my go -to favorites!

  23. Oh, so good to see! The Currently Inked set is more my style but both are fun and very handy! Thanks for the opportunity!

  24. If I had to choose one I think I would choose the Currently Inked set, but they are both wonderful!

  25. Of the two in the giveaway I’d pick the “New Pen Day” set mostly because I’ve never gotten to go to a pen show. Looking at the Everyday Explorer’s website I love the “Pen & Paper” so totally get why you picked that up when you saw it!

  26. I could see myself using the “New Pen Day” stamps with pleasure. I keep a bullet journal, and use stamps as a kind of Greek chorus to comment on the day’s events. Often these stamps are vintage characters or animals. But I haven’t set up any pen collection-related pages, and the “New Pen Day” stamps would really dress up those pages.

  27. I like New Pen Day, and looking at the site I really like the Currently Inked set as well. And the Halloween themed sets, which I would use all year round 😀

  28. I like the New Pen Day set. It would be nice to have some new stamps to use in my journal.

  29. Love Everyday Explorers stamps! The sets you have here are really fun, and there was a hiking one I had my eye on that I forget the name of.
