The Victorinox Secretary in all-metal finish is the perfect solution for on-the-go needs of the Well-Appointed reader whose work may be done on a coffee shop table, park bench, front seat of the car or other far-flung locales.Use it to “open envelopes, pry open staples, cut out crossword puzzles, clip articles/pictures” (a direct quote from a reader). The name alone makes it a covetable item in my book.
Just remember to check it in your checked baggage when traveling. $22 from Victorinox
(tip from a reader of The Well-Appointed Desk, thank you very much!)
