Chronicle Books always makes the most delightful bits of paper ephemera so I thought I’d round-up my favorites. There are so many more in the collection as well, from famous artists like Andy Warhol to getting-famous artists like The Small Object, Jill Bliss, Denyse Schmidt and many more.

This simple, clean desk agenda is produced in small numbers each year and is highly coveted. It features week-at-a-glance on two pages in the front on warm white stock and a dozen different pre-printed grids in the sketchbook section which is printed on pale blue. It has a lay-flat design and coated cover in a sharp blue this year. It measures at 150x100mm (about 4×6”) €15.

This photo is full of great, inexpensive office ideas. Cover that less-than-lovely work surface with a sheet or tablecloth for instant glamour and a quick way to create a neutral tone for your whole space. White not your thing? Maybe a natural canvas or warm nubby brown fabric would work better for you.

Use a sheet of plywood propped up as a place to hang your inspiration, notes and research. In this white-on-white-on-white space, the warm natural wood really take center stage.

This year I will not wait until its too late. I will purchase a copy of the Frankie Dairy for 2012 ASAP. This cloth bound, week-to-a-page diary was illustrated by Melbourne artist Amy Borrell. So pretty. $24.95
