Link Love: Lamy-Not and Peli-Kan’t

I saw the new Lamy Plus Colored Pencils this week and thought our colored pencil expert, Tina, might want to review them. When I asked her, she confessed that she already reviewed them and said “Lamy should stick to pens”. So, if you are wondering why we are not publishing a review of the Lamy…

Link Love: Binder Clip Bag

Author AnaPosted on May 10, 2023May 10, 20233 Comments

Years ago, I posted about the binder clip bag that appeared and then quickly disappeared from the internet. Today, I have a WHOLE video of how one luxury handbag maker created their version of this stunning, must-have for all stationery fashionistas. Think they would make me a pink one? Pens: Stylosuite Flex Nibs (via Mountain…

There are two guarantees at any pen show. One: good times will be had. Two: I will pick up Con Crud. Both can be said about the Atlanta Pen Show this year. There was time spent with friends old and new, a bit too much revelry and, on the way home, the distinctive misery of…

It’s that time again! The Atlanta Pen Show starts tomorrow. Well, at least for vendors and folks traveling for the show. I will hopping on a plane tomorrow with pens, sample vials, Emergen-C and my faithfull suitcase, R2-D2. The Atlanta Show is a special show for me. It was my very first pen show back…

Link Love: Can A Pen Be Gendered?

First, Laura and I have spent the week discussing where to put the information for the upcoming Toronto Stationery Show. Should we add it to the Pen Show Calendar? Should it get its own post? In the end we decided since it was pen-adjacent, I would add it to Link Love but then it didn’t…

I can’t believe its already the middle of March! Normally, this time of year, I’d be preparing to head to Little Rock for the Arkansas Pen Show but due to starting a new job, I don’t have the seniority to take as many vacation days as I have been able to take in the past.…

Over the last week or so, I've been slowly updating the shop. First, I have added more pen clean out and ink destashing. Patrons get advanced notice when I do stationery cupboard clean outs so if you join the Patreon, you too can get first dibs when I clear out my ever-expanding pen, paper and ink stash. I've been a little stressed by my collection -- that feeling of having too many things to keep track of, etc -- that I'm probably removing items from my collection that are from the core of my collection, not the fluff....
"review" of the Schon DSGN Monoc nib and Pocket Six anodized aluminum pocket pen. I say "review" because its just 100% praise for this amazing nib and pen.
Federalist Pens released their latest ink collaboration with Robert Oser: Frankly Walnut ($18 for 50ml bottle) which was unveiled at the DC Pen Show this year. Frankly Walnut looks reddish brown on Col-o-ring paper but on Tomoe River it looks almost purply. Fascinating. When compared with other brown inks, many Robert Oster were similar but different. Robert Oster Chocolate is probably the closest but is a bit more red orange in undertones where Frankly Walnut is a little more reddish in undertone....
