My Daily Carry for the Week of Aug 18

Daily Carry for the week of Aug 18

I haven’t done a daily carry post for awhile so I thought I’d give you all a peek into my bag, its a Letter Writers Alliance member pencil case, in case you were curious. I have a few of my favorite pins stuck to it as well. Paper geek pride!

I’ll go from left to right:

The various and sundry bits at the bottom from the left:

  • Vintage letter opener
  • Lefty Pencil Sharpener
  • Pocket Swiss Army Knife
  • Wireless USB controller for my Wacom tablet
  • a couple spare SD cards
  • a USB flash drive (8GB)
  • my name chop I got in Stanley Market in Hong Kong

Its probably way more than I need but I like to be prepared and have options. I don’t have my own office at work so I tote a lot more with me each day than most people. How many tools do you carry with you each day?

  1. Thanks for sharing! I feel better knowing I’m not the only one walking around with this many items in my pencil case.

  2. Nice load out. I’m more of a briefcase home to office to office kind of worker but here is the pocketables that constantly invade my space:

    Kum PenCut scissors
    Cruzer Flash drive
    Zebralight SC51 Flashlight
    10 ft duct tape wrapped around an old credit card (a boy must be prepared)
    Mini Sharpie
    Zebra 701 Pocket Pen
    Mini USB SD Card reader
    Nite Ize Bug Lite (currently MIA, crawled away)
    Penvelope 6 Case with my favorite Fountain Pens
    Bexley Corona
    Nakaya Long
    Pelikan M1000
    TWSBI 540
    TWSBI 700

    Thanks for the post

  3. I love EDC posts! The stuff in people’s pockets and handbags is a fascinating little look into their personality and their circumstances.

    I rotate through all my fun pens over the course of a couple of weeks, but I usually only carry one or two in my pocket each day. Today, it’s a Visconti Van Gogh Room in Arles (a gift from my brother) and a Noodler’s Flex, both loaded with Private Reserve Orange Crush.

    All the rest of my kit:
    * Kershaw Leek
    * Streamlight Microstream
    * P-51 Can opener
    * Tweezers
    * Victorinox Swiss Army Knife (in magnificent Banana Yellow)
    * Kahr Arms CW9
    * Field Notes (original recipe, 5mm grid)
    * HTC Thunderbolt

  4. I also love edc posts:) Also love that your lip gloss is longer than the kaweco pen. I hadn’t realized the pens were so small. 🙂

  5. Outside of the usual laptop and moleskin notebook of the week, my briefcase consists of the following items (1) Conklin fountain pen (2) Bexley fountain pen (3) Lamy fountain pen (4) Sharpie yellow highlighter (5) purple ear buds (6) Post-It tabs (7) mini ipad charger (8) two cell phones – one for work; one for personal. No gum, mints this time around. Bummer.

  6. My EDC:

    Lihit Lab Teffa Pen Case in Black
    Field Notes notebook 3.5×5″
    Lamy Safari Fountain Pen, Yellow, Fine nib
    Kaweco Classic Sport Fountain Pen, Green, Extra Fine nib
    Ohto Pineni Wooden Body Needle-Point Ballpoint Pen in orange
    Pilot Spotlighter 2-sided highlighter in Cream Yellow
    Sun-Star Stickyle Pen-Style Scissors in White
    Jack Black Lip Balm in Black Tea & Blackberry
    Almay Color & Care Liquid Lip Balm in Pink Pout
    L. Erickson Ponytail Holder (Nordstrom)
    Ray Ban Wayfarers
    Bluecell Earphone Case in Blue with cheap earbuds inside
    Alice in Wonderland Enchantmints Mints (novelty tin)

  7. I’m an EDC nut myself. People look at my tools strangely…until they need to borrow something. 🙂 I like that you carry a bone folder. That is something that I’ve been thinking of picking up myself. A lightweight item and it could be useful.

    My EDC:

    Leatherman Micra
    Streamlight Nano Keychain Flashlight, Black
    Fox 40 Mini Whistle
    Streamlight ProTec Flashlight
    Sunscreen
    Burt’s Bees Chapstick
    Hand Lotion
    Jinhao X750 Fountain Pen
    Coleto 4-Multi Pen
    Small Altoids tin with backup ink carts
    Mini Composition Book
    Moleskine Planner with quiver and Fisher Bullet Space Pen for appointments
    Business cards and holder
