Fashionable Friday: Year of the Dragon

Lunar New Year officially begins tomorrow but my co-workers in China have been celebrating since last week. 2024 is the year of the Dragon which is always considered an auspicious occasion. Celebrate Lunar New Year by sharing a meal with friends and family, leave offerings for your ancestors, and clean house to bring a fresh, new year. Celebrations will continue through next week so you have plenty of time to celebrate, clean house and share a meal with friends.

  1. As someone born in the year of the dragon, I really appreciate this Fashionable Friday. I was looking up the wood dragon, which is this year’s dragon, and mine as well. That led to the Japanese azure dragon. I’d get that Colorverse ink, but I’m done buying shimmer inks.

I did get a Jinhao 999 twin dragon pen. And wow is it a heavy pen at 3 3/4 ounces. I had a sample of Iroshizuku Kon Peki or deep azure blue, to fill the dragon pen.
